Quincy Rhodes Jr is a 3 Star recruit who plays Defensive End at North Little Rock High School. Rhodes Jr is ranked among the top 450 recruits in the nation and is ranked among the top 40 Defensive Ends in the nation as well. In addition, Rhodes Jr is listed as the #2 recruit in the state of Arkansas and is listed as the #1 Defensive End in the state of Arkansas. Quincy Rhodes Jr is committed to play at Arkansas next fall.

Growing up, were you inspired by any NFL Players?

Growing up I really looked up to Ray Lewis and probably Adrian Peterson. During my early stage of life I always watched their highlights to get me game ready and to get my adrenaline running. It made me feel like I could run through a brick wall.

What songs do you listen to pregame, to get you hyped up?

My pregame songs would have to be Hold your head by Kevin Gates, Knockin head off by Lil Jon, BST Polo G, Be something Polo G, and any song by Rod Wave.

What is your offseason training like?

Most of the time during the offseason I’m working on getting bigger and working on my feet and hands trying to get them faster. I’m trying to get in the 260/270 range so I’m starting to eat a little more. Just overall try to master my craft and get ready for my senior season.

What is your favorite memory of your career?

If I had to choose my favorite memory out of my career, I used to play for this AAU football team in Little Rock called the (Arkansas lions) and my 8th grade year we played Deion sanders team and we went to triple overtime, and my team beat them because I scored the winning touchdown.

Who is the best player you have ever played with or played against in your career?

The best players I’ve played with would be Deontae Young and Robert Burgess. Those two are like my brother, especially Deontae. I’ve known him since I was like 3, so we’re basically inseparable. They both play D-Line with me at North Little Rock. We call each other the big three. Those two are definitely players, college coaches should really watch out for them this upcoming season. Get ready for us three to put on a show.

What was your reaction to getting your first offer?

When I got my first offer, I was so happy, because knowing that everything I’ve been through is not in vain and that all my hard work had paid off.

When did you realize you were talented at football?

I knew I was talented at football when I hit the age of 8. Growing up I was always the biggest so I had a lot of advantages over everyone. Due to that I didn’t do normal things that kids do. My dad kept me ahead of the game so I learned early.

If you could meet one sports hero, who would it be?

If I could meet one sports hero, it would probably be Ray Lewis. I say him because he’s impacted the game in so many ways. He’s motivational and just an all around great man.

What is your favorite sports moment, as a fan?

My favorite sports moment is when Arkansas beat their first conference opponent after 2 terrible years of football, then the rest was history.
