Tennessee’s Next Star Safety: Jack Luttrell
Jack Luttrell is a 3 Star recruit who plays Safety at Colquitt County High School. Luttrell is ranked among the top 800 recruits in the nation and is ranked as a top 70 Safety in the nation as well. In addition, Luttrell is listed as a top 80 recruit in the state of Georgia and is listed as a top 10 Safety in the state of Georgia. Jack Luttrell is committed to play at Tennessee next fall.
Growing up, were you inspired by any NFL Players?
Growing up, I always watched the honey badger at LSU. I loved the way he played and I modeled a lot of my game after his.
What songs do you listen to pregame, to get you hyped up?
Before games I’ve got to listen to YB. It helps me get into a mood ready to hit people and make plays.
What is your offseason training like?
Offseason is the biggest part of improvement, so I sit down with my coaches and talk about what needs to be worked on, and then during the offseason I perfect my craft.
What is your favorite memory of your career?
My favorite memory from playing football is my first touchdown. I remember I scored and as soon as I crossed the line I could hear my parents in the stands cheering for me.
Who is the best player you have ever played with or played against in your career?
The best player I’ve had to play against has to be Brock Vandagriff. Playing db I know I can win if I get to the qbs head and Brock never let me get in his head.
What was your reaction to getting your first offer?
I remember my first offer just like it was yesterday. I was extremely grateful and it felt like all my hard work and time was finally paying off.
What is your favorite food?
My favorite food has to be a 10pc nugget with sweet n sour sauce.
When did you realize you were talented at football?
I remember 8th grade is when I realized I could really do this football thing. I started on a varsity team and won player of the year.
If you could meet one sports hero, who would it be?
If I could meet a sports hero I would choose Jalen Ramsey, just because I watch him a lot and really enjoy how he plays.
What is your favorite sports moment, as a fan?
My favorite sports memory as a fan was definitely watching the ACC Championship, and actually catching a ball from Johnny Football during warm ups.
