Temple High’s Star Linebacker: Taurean York
Taurean York is a 3 Star recruit who plays Linebacker at Temple High School. York is ranked among the top 900 recruits in the nation and is ranked among the top 70 Linebackers in the nation as well. In addition, York is listed among the top 150 recruits in the state of Texas and is listed as a top 10 Linebacker in the state of Texas. Taurean York is committed to play at Baylor next fall.

What is your offseason training like?
Grueling, I never really let up, waking up at 4:57 A.M. and getting it in all day, but still recovering when time allows.
What is your favorite memory of your career?
Either my game winning touchdown against Harker Heights, or my first career tackle against Chris Vaughn on my very first varsity play of the season.
Who is the best player you have ever played with or played against in your career?
The two best players I’ve played against are Cade Klubnik and Marquise Collins.
What was your reaction to getting your first offer?
I was excited and just thanking God because I worked extremely hard to get to that moment and to see it finally pay off meant a lot to me.
What is your favorite food?
Chicken Tenders
When did you realize you were talented at football?
My 8th grade year when I dominated the competition and had 22 touchdowns in just 8 games
If you could meet one sports hero, who would it be?
Michael Jordan, LeBron James, or Kevin Garnett. Hard to pick out of those 3.
What is your favorite sports moment, as a fan?
When Ray Allen hit that clutch 3 against the Spurs. I was ecstatic when that happened.
