Dorian Franklin is a 3 Star recruit who plays Cornerback at St. John Bosco High School. Franklin is ranked as the 563rd best recruit in the class of 2027 and is ranked as a top 60 Cornerback in the class as well. In addition, Franklin is listed as a top 80 recruit in the state of California and is listed as a top 15 Cornerback in the state of California. Who are some role models in your life?
A major role model in my life has always been my parents. My dad has paved the way for me to be the best version of myself, and my mom sets a high standard for success.

What artists do you listen to pregame, to get you hyped up?
Before games, I usually lock in with some YoungBoy. But right before we head out, I switch to a gospel artist named Emmanualdaprophet—he’s got some real bangers that get me in the right mindset.

What are the strengths of your game?
One of my biggest strengths is my football IQ, instincts, and explosiveness. A lot of people don’t know I started playing defense full-time as a sophomore. Before that, I was a receiver, so understanding offensive schemes has helped me grow on the defensive side.

What is your favorite memory of your career?
My favorite memory so far is getting an interception in my first varsity start—as a sophomore—at a national powerhouse like Bosco.

Who is the best player you have ever played with or played against in your career?
The best player I’ve shared the field with is Kyngstonn Viliamu-Asa, who I played with as a freshman. He’s now at Notre Dame.

What is some advice you would give to an aspiring D1 athlete?
The biggest piece of advice I’d give to any aspiring Division I athlete is to stay confident and consistent. Those two qualities will take you far. Never let anyone shake your belief in yourself, and understand that consistency—on and off the field—is everything.

If you could travel anywhere in the world, where would it be?
If I could travel anywhere in the world, I’d definitely choose Greece. It’s a place I’ve always wanted to experience.

How old were you when you fell in love with the game?
I realized I wanted to play football at a high level when I was about 4 or 5 years old. Even at that young age, I had a deep love for the game.

If you could meet one sports hero, who would it be?
If I had the chance, I’d love to meet and train with Mike Sainristil, C.J. Gardner-Johnson, and Chandler Rivers. Learning from guys like them would be an incredible opportunity to grow as a player.

What is your favorite sports moment, as a fan?
As a fan, my favorite sports moment has to be Odell Beckham Jr.’s one-handed catch. I was in sixth grade when I saw it, and it completely blew my mind. It was one of those moments that reminded me how special this game can be.
