St. John Bosco’s Star Freshman Athlete: Madden Williams

Madden Williams is a 2026 recruit who is an Athlete at St. John Bosco High School. Williams is ranked among one of the top recruits in the class of 2026 and is ranked among one of the top Athletes in the class as well. In addition, Williams is listed among one of the top recruits in the state of California and is listed among one of the top Athletes in the state of California. He currently holds offers from Arizona State and Georgia Tech.

Growing up, were you inspired by any NFL Players?

Yes, I was inspired by Julio Jones, Davante Adams, Ed Reed, and Sean Taylor while I was growing up. My dad would always show me videos of those guys and I would try to play like them.

What songs do you listen to pregame, to get you hyped up?

Lil TJay, NBA YoungBoy, Drake, or J.Cole are usually in my pregame playlist.

What is your offseason training like?

My goal has always been to make varsity as a freshman, so my offseason grind is crazy. I do speed training in the morning, strength training at noon, and Wide Receiver or DB work in the evening 4x a week. St John Bosco doesn’t usually have freshmen playing varsity, so I really have to push myself to show the coaches I’m ready.

What is your favorite memory of your career?

Winning my first National Championship at 11U. I won another one this past season in Miami with my 14U team. Both times were great, but the first one was extra special.

Who is the best player you have ever played with or played against in your career?

I’ve played with a lot of great players and it’s too hard to choose, but the best player I’ve ever played against is IMG Running Back Stacy Gage in FBU a few years ago.

What is your favorite food?

I love BBQ. Ribs, beans, potato salad, and Mac n cheese.

What was your reaction to getting your first offer?

I was shocked at first and surprised, but then I got super excited that my dreams were starting to come true.

When did you realize you were talented at football?

I’ve been playing football since I was 5 and everybody has always told me I was talented and could go as far as I want to go. I’ve been around a lot of really good coaches who have always motivated me to be the best.

If you could meet one sports hero, who would it be?

Jerry Rice, because he is the best Wide Receiver ever and I want to learn what it took for him to be the best.

What is your favorite sports moment, as a fan?

Getting to go to the Super Bowl in Miami
