St. Clairsville’s Star Junior Lineman: Mason Wilt
Mason Wilt is a 3 Star recruit who plays Offensive Tackle at St. Clairsville High School. Wilt is ranked as the 413th best recruit in the class of 2027 and is ranked as a top 40 Offensive Tackle in the class as well. In addition, Wilt is listed as a top 15 recruit in the state of Ohio and is listed as the #3 Offensive Tackle in the state of Ohio. He holds offers from schools such as Ohio State, Florida State and NC State.
Who are some role models in your life?
My parents—they do a lot to make sure I’m successful in both sports and school.
What are the strengths of your game?
My ability to physically dominate people.
What is your favorite memory of your career?
Playing in the regional championship last year.
Who is the best player you have ever played with or played against in your career?
I would say Grady Kinnsey from Indian Valley. I had a hold of him in our game, and he powered right out of my hands.
What is some advice you would give to an aspiring D1 athlete?
Focus on being an athlete first, and play more than one sport.
If you could travel anywhere in the world, where would it be?
Germany would be cool.
How old were you when you fell in love with the game?
In 7th grade, when I started playing in middle school.
If you could meet one sports hero, who would it be?
T.J. Watt.
What is your favorite sports moment, as a fan?
So far, watching the Ohio State game last year… I can’t wait to see more of the top college programs this year.
