Who are some role models in your life?
I look up to David Beckham, Isaiah Simmons, and Payton Wilson. Each of them brings something different to the table, and I’ve taken elements of their games and applied them to mine.
What artists do you listen to pregame to get hyped up?
Kodak is always a go-to, but it really depends on how I’m feeling. If my energy is low, I’ll throw on King Von, Lil Durk, or Lil Wayne. If I’m feeling anxious or overly hyped, I’ll go with old Kanye, Michael Jackson, or even some gospel to calm my nerves.
What are the strengths of your game?
My versatility. I can drop into coverage, play the curl/flat, or rush off the edge—and I take pride in doing all of it at a high level.
What is your favorite memory of your career?
Back in middle school, we played Spanish River and I had two interceptions—one was a pick-six and the other sealed the win. That game was unforgettable.
Who is the best player you’ve ever played with or against?
Tony Kinsler, Kam Chamble, and Derry Norris. Learning from them this past year really elevated my game. I also have to shout out my middle school teammates—Kevin Paul, Tim Robinson, Nikko Yunes, and Zeph Brammer—those guys helped shape me early on.
What advice would you give to an aspiring D1 athlete?
Be coachable. I almost transferred when my coaches didn’t want me playing receiver, but that decision turned out to be the best thing that ever happened to me.
If you could travel anywhere in the world, where would it be?
England—no better place for a soccer lover like me.
If you could meet one sports hero, who would it be?
Xavi Simons. I’d love to ask him how he handles the pressure and expectations that have followed him since he was young.
What is your favorite sports moment as a fan?
Watching the Seattle Seahawks win the Super Bowl. That moment was special and one I’ll never forget.
