Smithson Valley’s Star Offensive Tackle: Colton Thomasson
Colton Thomasson is a 4 Star recruit who plays Offensive Tackle at Smithson Valley High School. Thomasson is ranked among the top 350 recruits in the nation and is ranked among the top 30 Offensive Tackles in the nation as well. In addition, Thomasson is listed as a top 60 recruit in the state of Texas and is listed as the #3 Offensive Tackle in the state of Texas. Colton Thomasson is committed to play at Texas A&M next fall.
Growing up, were you inspired by any NFL Players?
I was inspired by Joe Thomas and Alejandro Villanueva.
What songs do you listen to pregame, to get you hyped up?
Dreams and nightmares, fade to black, and in the air tonight
What is your offseason training like?
Lots of running and lifting. When the time comes I get back into working technique.
What is your favorite memory of your career?
Beating Judson and Reagen in back to back weeks
Who is the best player you have ever played with or played against in your career?
Troy Moore at UTSA was an animal. Makai Williams was definitely the toughest kid to block against.
What was your reaction to getting your first offer?
It felt surreal and it was a dream come true
What is your favorite food?
My grandma’s spaghetti
When did you realize you were talented at football?
I knew I had a shot growing up with my size. I think when I finally helped Smithson Valley win games I saw I could actually do this.
