Darius Afalava is a 3 Star recruit who plays Interior Offensive Line at Skyridge High School. Afalava is ranked as the 430th best recruit in the nation and is ranked as a top 30 Interior Offensive Lineman in the nation as well. In addition, Afalava is listed as the #3 recruit in the state of Utah and is listed as the the #1 Interior Offensive Lineman in the state of Utah. His top 4 schools are Oklahoma, Washington, Utah and Michigan State.

Some role models in my life are my parents.

What artists do you listen to pregame, to get you hyped up?

A few artists I listen to before a game are NBA YoungBoy, Nipsey Hustle and BigXthaPlug.

What are the strengths of your game?

I personally feel the strengths in my game are my ability to move linemen, get to the second level, and being agile.

What is your favorite memory of your career?

My favorite moment was winning states my sophomore year.

Who is the best player you have ever played with or played against in your career?

The best player I’ve ever lined up against was probably my former teammate Tausili Akana.

What is some advice you would give to an aspiring D1 athlete?

Enjoy the recruiting process.

If you could travel anywhere in the world, where would it be?

I would love to go to Japan or Iceland.

How old were you when you fell in love with the game?

Sophomore year

If you could meet one sports hero, who would it be?

If I were to meet one sport hero it would be LeBron James.

What is your favorite sports moment, as a fan?

My favorite moment as a sports fan was the 2016 LeBron James 3-1 comeback.
