Luke Sorensen is a 3 Star recruit who plays Tight End at Servite High School. Sorensen is ranked as the 666th best recruit in the class of 2026 and is ranked as a top 40 Tight End in the class as well. In addition, Sorensen is listed as a top 60 recruit in the state of California and is listed as a top 10 Tight End in the state of California. He is committed to play at Nebraska.
Who are some role models in your life?
In my life, I look up to my parents, my coaches, and my teammates. As for athletes, I model my mentality after Dennis Rodman.
What artists do you listen to pregame, to get you hyped up?
Pregame, I always listen to the Beastie Boys, Chief Keef, Metallica, Green Day, and Eminem—kind of a mix of everything.
What are the strengths of your game?
The strengths of my game are my mentality and grit, as well as my run blocking and athleticism. I think that’s what gets me on the field.
What is your favorite memory of your career?
My favorite memory is from sophomore year, catching a touchdown pass in the semifinals. It was my very first catch as a tight end after getting moved from defense that week, and it was awesome.
Who is the best player you have ever played with or played against in your career?
The best player I’ve gone against was probably Simote Katoanga or Nasyir Wyatt.
What is some advice you would give to an aspiring D1 athlete?
My advice would be to be relentless in everything, because at the end of the day, you’re going to have to live with your decisions.
If you could travel anywhere in the world, where would it be?
I’d probably travel to New Zealand. It seems pretty cool over there.
How old were you when you fell in love with the game?
I fell in love with the game my sophomore year. I started playing then and immediately knew I wanted to be a football player.
If you could meet one sports hero, who would it be?
I’d want to meet Rob Gronkowski.
What is your favorite sports moment, as a fan?
As a sports fan, I come from a huge baseball background, so it’s definitely the 2016 World Series.
