Joshua Washington is a 2026 recruit who plays Wide Receiver at Savannah Country Day School. Washington is ranked among one of the top recruits in the class of 2026 and is ranked among one of the top Wide Receivers in the class as well. In addition, Washington is listed among one of the top recruits in the state of Georgia and is listed among one of the top Wide Receivers in the state of Georgia. He currently holds an offer from Georgia Southern.
Growing up, were you inspired by any NFL Players?
Yes, growing up I was inspired by Odell a lot. He was the reason I really wanted to play Receiver.
What songs do you listen to pregame, to get you hyped up?
Pregame I’m listening to the NBA YoungBoy album Colors EA by Young Nudy, and some Lil Baby.
What is your offseason training like?
In the offseason I workout a lot in the weight room, play lots of 7v7, and work on my game by watching film from the previous year.
What is your favorite memory of your career?
My favorite memory in my career so far was probably this year in the future stars 8th grade game vs Florida. I scored the first touchdown to lead my team to beat Florida in our last year being able to play in the game.
Who is the best player you have ever played with or played against in your career?
I’ve played with lots of great talent but my favorite in my opinion is Aaron Gregory.
What was your reaction to getting your first offer?
When I received my first offer I was just frozen for a minute. I was speechless, and it was an amazing feeling.
What is your favorite food?
My favorite food is mac & cheese, without a doubt.
When did you realize you were talented at football?
I realized I was talented at football at a young age. I feel I’ve always been if not the best one of the best on the field since I was 6 years old.
If you could meet one sports hero, who would it be?
If I could meet one sports hero, it would definitely be Deion Sanders. I just love his mentality, mindset, and how he approaches everything.
What is your favorite sports moment, as a fan?
My favorite moment as a fan, has to be watching Bama come back and beat Georgia in the National Championship in the 2017-2018 season.
