Saline’s Star Interior Lineman: Louis Esposito

Louis Esposito is a 3 Star recruit who plays Interior Offensive Line at Saline High School. Esposito is ranked as the 514th best recruit in the class of 2027 and is ranked as a top 40 Interior Offensive Lineman in the class as well. In addition, Esposito is listed as a top 10 recruit in the state of Michigan and is listed as the #1 Interior Offensive Lineman in the state of Michigan. He holds offers from schools such as Michigan, Louisville and Pitt.

Who are some role models in your life?
My role models are definitely my father and my mother. Their hard work has put me in a position to be successful and has inspired me to do the same—to work hard and take care of the people you love the most.

What artists do you listen to pregame, to get you hyped up?
I listen to a mix of music pregame. I like calm music from artists like Sade because I feel like I play best when I’m loose. When the game is about to start, I switch to rock music to get fired up—like Alice In Chains or Nirvana.

What are the strengths of your game?
The strengths of my game are definitely my athleticism—being able to move well at my size—and my footwork as well.

What is your favorite memory of your career?
My favorite memory of my career so far was getting my first D1 offer from Arkansas State.

Who is the best player you have ever played with or played against in your career?
The best player I’ve ever played against is definitely Bryce Underwood. But I also play with a group of guys who have just as much talent, like Tommy Carr, Lincoln Keyes, Isaiah Harris, and more. Playing with guys like that gives me a clear understanding of what I need to do to get where I want to go. Iron sharpens iron.

What is some advice you would give to an aspiring D1 athlete?
I would tell an upcoming D1 athlete to stay consistent with their work and do the extra stuff—especially when you don’t feel like it. That’s what sets you apart. Also, stay confident and have a short memory if something doesn’t go your way.

If you could travel anywhere in the world, where would it be?
If I could travel anywhere, it would probably be a place like Italy or Hawaii.

How old were you when you fell in love with the game?
I fell in love with football the second I stepped on the turf with my dad. I’ve been around the game my whole life, and I’ve always loved the grind. Football is like no other sport, and that’s what I love most about it.

If you could meet one sports hero, who would it be?
I would want to meet Tom Brady and ask him about his mindset—how he worked, and what he focused on.

What is your favorite sports moment, as a fan?
My all-time favorite moment as a sports fan is when Odell Beckham Jr. made that crazy one-handed catch against the Cowboys.
