Sachse’s Star Junior: Trason Haley

Trason Haley is a 3 Star recruit who plays Defensive Tackle at Sachse High School. Haley is ranked as the 526th best recruit in the class of 2027 and is ranked as a top 60 Defensive Tackle in the class as well. In addition, Haley is listed as a top 70 recruit in the state of Texas and is listed as a top 10 Defensive Tackle in the state of Texas. He holds offers from schools such as Kansas, Texas Tech and SMU.

Who are some role models in your life?
Some of my role models are definitely my mom, dad, and all of my grandparents. They’ve taught me everything I know, and I wouldn’t be where I am without them.

What artists do you listen to pregame, to get you hyped up?
Some artists I like to listen to pregame are definitely Lil Baby, Kodak Black, and probably NBA YoungBoy. Those really get you right before a game.

What are the strengths of your game?
I feel like the strengths of my game are my IQ and my technique. I have a good feel for the game, and I’m always trying to do things the right way.

What is your favorite memory of your career?
My favorite moment was definitely being thrown in during my first varsity game and being able to impact the game in a way I hadn’t imagined that day.

What is some advice you would give to an aspiring D1 athlete?
I would tell anyone to put their faith in God, keep working, and don’t listen to what everyone has to say about you.

If you could travel anywhere in the world, where would it be?
I would definitely travel to Greece. It seems like a beautiful place with lots to see.

How old were you when you fell in love with the game?
I was about 5 when I fell in love with football, and I knew it was something I would love for years to come.

If you could meet one sports hero, who would it be?
I would choose to meet Steph Curry. He’s my favorite athlete, and I feel like I could learn so much from him and the way he works.

What is your favorite sports moment, as a fan?
My favorite sports moment as a fan was the 2019 LSU national championship because it was great seeing the team I grew up liking become champions again.
