Prince Avenue’s Star Freshman Guard: Mason Townsend

Mason Townsend is a 2026 recruit who plays Offensive Guard at Prince Avenue Christian School. Townsend is ranked among one of the top recruits in the class of 2026 and is ranked among one of the top Offensive Guards in the class as well. In addition, Townsend is listed among one of the top recruits in the state of Georgia and is listed among one of the top Offensive Guards in the state of Georgia.

Who are some role models in your life?

Definitely my parents. They have taught me how to become a great person on and off the field. They have been to all my games and have supported me the most.

What artists do you listen to pregame, to get you hyped up?

Lil Baby, Lil Uzi, and Moneybagg Yo

What are the strengths of your game?

I would have to say my technique. I train my craft all the time to be the best I can be. I train with former NFL O-Lineman Kevin McAlomont.

What is your favorite memory of your career?

Playing in the UA Futures game and ending in a tie

Who is the best player you have ever played with or played against in your career?

Julian Lewis. He is a great teammate and I love blocking for him

What is some advice you would give to an aspiring D1 athlete?

Never give up and always shoot to be the best you, don’t try to shoot to be someone else.

If you could travel anywhere in the world, where would it be?

I’ve always wanted to go to Italy.

I would love to meet Howie Long.
