Parkview’s Star Sophomore Safety: Kevin Caldwell Jr

Kevin Caldwell Jr is a 4 Star recruit who plays Safety at Parkview High School. Caldwell Jr is ranked as the 75th best recruit in the class of 2027 and is ranked as a top 10 Safety in the class as well. In addition, Caldwell Jr is listed as a top 10 recruit in the state of Georgia and is listed as the #4 Safety in the state of Georgia. He holds offers from schools such as Georgia, LSU and Texas A&M.

Who are some role models in your life?
Some role models in my life are my dad and my coaches. They’ve taught me a lot about discipline, leadership, and staying focused.

What artists do you listen to pregame to get you hyped up?
The artists I listen to the most before a game are Raq Baby, NBA YoungBoy, and Lil Tony. They get me in the right mindset to go out and dominate.

What are the strengths of your game?
I’d say my biggest strengths are my versatility and athleticism. I can adapt to different situations on the field and make plays from anywhere.

What is your favorite memory of your career?
My favorite memory is from last year when we played Duluth on their homecoming and beat them. I scored two back-to-back touchdowns in that game. It was electric.

Who is the best player you have ever played with or against in your career?
The best player I’ve ever played with is Mike Matthews. He’s a beast on the field and brings out the best in everyone around him.

What is some advice you would give to an aspiring D1 athlete?
Don’t be afraid to put in the work to be the best. Stay locked in and focused on your goals, and don’t let distractions knock you off track.

If you could travel anywhere in the world, where would it be?
If I could travel anywhere, I’d go to Jamaica. The culture, the beaches, and the vibe all look amazing.

How old were you when you fell in love with the game?
I fell in love with football when I was four years old. It’s been a part of me ever since.

If you could meet one sports hero, who would it be?
If I could meet one sports hero, it would be Deion Sanders. His swagger, versatility, and dominance are unmatched.

What is your favorite sports moment as a fan?
My favorite sports moment as a fan was watching the Seahawks win the Super Bowl.
