One Of The Top Tight Ends In Ohio: Treylan Davis

Treylan Davis is a 3 Star recruit who plays Tight End at Jackson High School. Davis is ranked as a Top 35 Tight End in the country and is a Top 25 recruit in the state of Ohio. In addition, Davis is also listed as a Top 3 Tight End in Ohio. Treylan Davis is committed to play at West Virginia next fall.

Growing up, were you inspired by any NFL Players?

 I was always hugely inspired by Ray Lewis growing up, the way he played the game and how physical he was, and his fearless mindset!!

What high school is your biggest rival?

Wheelersburg is our biggest rival, every time we play them, the entire town talks about it all week and packs the stands plum full!! it’s a great friday night atmosphere.

What songs do you listen to pregame, to get you hyped up?

I listen to a lot of heavy metal and old rock!! Painters, metallica, Korn, things of that sort!

What is your offseason training like?

It’s a lot, all summer i spend 5-6 days a weeks in the gym and on the field just trying to continue to get bigger, faster, stronger, and perfect my craft!

What is your favorite memory of your high school career?

So far, it was against wheelersburg my junior year, my teammate had two pick sixes back to back to completely take over the game, and the fans went insane!! it was truly amazing.

What parts of your high school game, do you hope to transition to the college level?

I hope to bring my physical nature and grit to college, I want be the toughest on the field at all times!

What made West Virginia stand out from other schools?

The people at WVU are truly amazing, coaching staff, the fan base, everyone there sees you as more than a football player and holds you to a higher standard at all times!

What do you want to accomplish on and off the field during your time at West Virginia?

I want to bring together a band of brothers on and off the field, with different cultures and backgrounds to all compete to accomplish a common goal!!

If you could meet one sports hero, who would it be?

I would love to meet Ray Lewis if ever possible, due to him being my biggest childhood inspiration.

What is your favorite sports moment, as a fan?

I would have to say the Tight End catch at Ohio State vs Penn State three years ago to win in OT, i was at that game and watched it happen, the atmosphere was insane!
