Cade Klubnik is a 4 Star recruit who plays Quarterback at Westlake High School. Klubnik is ranked as a top 10 Quarterback in the class of 2022 and is ranked as a top 30 recruit in the state of Texas. Growing up, were you inspired by any NFL Players?

Growing up, my biggest dream was actually to play college football, not the NFL.

What high school is your biggest rival?

Our biggest rival is Lake Travis, we have the biggest rivalry in the state and it is top 5 in the country.

What songs do you listen to pregame, to get you hyped up?

I listen to all kinds of music pregame. That whole day I listen to calm worship music to get in the right mindset, and then a couple hours later it consists of pump up and rap.

What is your offseason training like?

Offseason training has been a workload. I’m lifting 4-5 days a week, throwing to my guys 4 days a week and watching tons of film. It’s always a grind.

What is your favorite memory of your high school career?

My favorite memory so far has been winning the state championship game.

Who is the best player you have ever played with or played against in your high school career?

Ryan Lindley without a doubt.

What do you look for in choosing a college?

I look at the culture of the school, how successful the program has been, how the coaches are and the education.

When did you start looking at colleges, and when did colleges start looking at you?

I’ve been looking at colleges since 7th grade. Coaches have been on and off since 8th grade, with my first offer coming in January 2020.

If you could meet one sports hero, who would it be?

I’ve already met and know my two guys. Westlake natives Drew Brees and Nick Foles.

What is your favorite sports moment, as a fan?

Watching my older brother beat Harvard, while playing wide receiver for Yale.
