Palmer Williams is a 2023 recruit who plays Punter at Davie County High School. Williams is ranked among one of the top recruits in the nation and is ranked among one of the top Punters in the nation as well. In addition, Williams is listed among one of the top recruits in the state of North Carolina and is listed among one of the top Punters in the state of North Carolina. Palmer Williams is committed to play at Baylor next fall.

Growing up, were you inspired by any NFL Players?

Yeah growing up my favorite player was always Dan Bailey. He was the kicker for the Cowboys at the time. Super good guy, always watched their games to see him kick.

What songs do you listen to pregame, to get you hyped up?

My pregame song is Austin by Blake Shelton

What is your offseason training like?

In the offseason I was doing hour-long kicking sessions almost 5 days a week. On my off days I would do yoga and drops for punts.

What is your favorite memory of your career?

My favorite memory was beating our rival school West Forsyth my sophomore year. It was our last game of the season and we ended up undefeated.

Who is the best player you have ever played with or played against in your career?

The best player I’ve ever gone against in game is Sam Pendleton. He’s a 4 Star committed to Notre Dame. The best player I’ve ever trained with is Bradley Pinion.

What was your reaction to getting your first offer?

I was stoked. It took a lot of weight off my shoulders. I remember hugging my mom and dad after I got off the phone. Super good memory.

What is your favorite food?

My favorite food is empanadas. Or buffalo chicken dip if that counts as food.

When did you realize you were talented at football?

I didn’t really think football would take me that far until last March when I first started getting college interest. I always thought I would go to college as a normal student.

If you could meet one sports hero, who would it be?

Definitely Kobe Bryant, the mentality he had is something I’ve always tried to accomplish. Just the confidence in yourself that he had.

What is your favorite sports moment, as a fan?

My favorite sports moment as a fan was watching the Pro Bowl in 2019. I got to go to the game and it was super special.
