Malik Cooper is a 3 Star recruit who plays Wide Receiver at St Josephs Prep. Cooper is ranked as a Top 230 Wide Receiver in the nation and is a Top 35 recruit in the state of Pennsylvania. In addition, Cooper is listed as a Top 3 Wide Receiver in the state of Pennyslvania. Malik Cooper is committed to play at Temple next fall.

Growing up, were you inspired by any NFL Players?

Yes, growing up I was inspired by many NFL players. I started off as a Quarterback playing football, so I was inspired by Michael Vick, Cam Newton, Russell Wilson, and Lamar Jackson. Now as a Receiver I am inspired by Keenan Allen, Tyreek Hill, and Julio Jones.

What high school is your biggest rival?

LaSalle College High School

What songs do you listen to pregame, to get you hyped up?

I usually listen to slow jams to calm my nerves. And before we get off the bus I would play Meek Mill Dreams and Nightmares.

What is your offseason training like?

I work out everyday. I go to my coaches facility that is right around the corner from me three days a week, and the days I am not there I workout on my own.

What is your favorite memory of your high school career?

My favorite memory as of right now is winning the state championship as a Quarterback, proving all my doubters wrong.

What parts of your high school game, do you hope to transition to the college level?

My speed, agility, quickness, catching, and the ability to get in open space and pull away from defenders.

What made Temple stand out from other schools?

What made TEmple stand out from other schools is that the coaches showed that they really wanted me. As soon as I stepped on campus and in the facility it was nothing but love from everyone there. I feel like I would not get that at any other school.

What do you want to accomplish on and off the field during your time at Temple?

I do not really care about accolades because I am a team player. I really look to show out and be the best on the field every game. Off the field I want to graduate with a degree and be a man for others on and off campus.

If you could meet one sports hero, who would it be?

It would definitely be Tyreek Hill, to know his speed training or Randy Moss and Jerry Rice, so they can teach me more about the game.

What is your favorite sports moment, as a fan?

My favorite sports moment, as a fan would be 2010 Eagles vs Giants. The way the Eagles came back in that game and won not only excited me but taught me never give up no matter what situation you are in.
