Michael Gildea is a 2026 recruit who plays Offensive Tackle at The Hun School of Princeton. Gildea is ranked among one of the top recruits in the class of 2026 and is ranked among one of the top Offensive Tackles in the class as well. In addition, Gildea is listed among one of the top recruits in the state of New Jersey and is listed among one of the top Offensive Tackles in the state of New Jersey. He currently holds offers from Boston College and Vanderbilt.
Growing up, were you inspired by any NFL Players?
I was a big fan of Rob Gronkowski growing up. I always wanted to play TE growing up.
What songs do you listen to pregame, to get you hyped up?
Eminem, he has many songs that get me hyped and ready for the game.
What is your offseason training like?
I am a 3 sport athlete so there is really no offseason, but I always get a workout when I can.
What is your favorite memory of your career?
Definitely playing in the FBU Adidas Freshman All-Americsn Game. It was amazing to compete against the best of the best and make lifelong friendships with players around the country.
Who is the best player you have ever played with or played against in your career?
So far I would have to say either David Sanders (OL), Donavan Johnson (ATH), Or Kamar Archie (RB and LB).
What was your reaction to getting your first offer?
Right when I got my first offer, I had a big smile on my face for at least an hour or two and I was extremely happy.
What is your favorite food?
Definitely Burgers or a Chipotle Burrito.
When did you realize you were talented at football?
At the end of 8th grade when I went to a FBU camp with my friend and got invited to a big showcase from doing good at the camp.

What is your favorite sports moment, as a fan?
Chiefs vs. Bills playoff game that went into OT this year was amazing, and also when the Chiefs won the Super Bowl.
