One Of The Top Offensive Lineman At The Peddie SChool: Jaden Wedderburn
Jaden Wedderburn is a 2022 recruit who plays Offensive Tackle at The Peddie School. Wedderburn is ranked among one of the Top recruits in the nation and is ranked among one of the Top Offensive Tackles in the nation as well. In addition, Wedderburn is listed among one of the Top recruits in the state of New Jersey and is lsted among one of the Top Offensive Tackles in the state of New Jersey. He currently holds offers from Columbia and Davidson.
Growing up, were you inspired by any NFL Players?
Most definitely! I wasn’t really into football until high school, and by then Tyron Smith and Jason Peters were all I used to watch. 2 Big men that can move and hold it down on the line.
What high school is your biggest rival?
At Glassboro, our biggest rival was Paulsboro, every time we played the stands would be full to watch the “battle of the Boros” it’s a historic rivalry and the energy in those games are unmatched.
What songs do you listen to pregame, to get you hyped up?
I listen to Lil Wayne and King Von. Their music can turn anyone from 0-100.
What is your offseason training like?
Weight room and field work at least 4 days a week. No excuses.
What is your favorite memory of your high school career, so far?
That’s hard. I’d have to say my Sophomore year against Woodstown. We had to win that game to make the playoffs. On the last drive of the game, our defense got 3 TFLs and a sack to end the game, all from the d-line. We won by 1 point, and the energy is why I fell in love with the game.
Who is the best player you have ever played with or played against in your career?
Hands down my boy Keon. Since midgets we’ve been playing football together and his talent is through the roof. He now plays for IMG as a 5 star Safety.
What is your favorite food?
Lasagna
When did you realize you were talented at football?
My Sophomore year when I got invited to junior days and camps from a bunch of D1 colleges. Even got the opportunity to train with Mike Devlin
If you could meet one sports hero, who would it be?
Another hard one, probably Larry Allen or Quenton Nelson. I’d love to sit down and talk football.
What is your favorite sports moment, as a fan?
As a fan, has to be watching James Harrison run back a 100 yard TD for in the Super Bowl. I’m a Steelers fan and that was one of the greatest moments ever.
