In addition, Godinez is listed among one of the top recruits in the state of New Jersey and is listed among one of the top Kickers in the state of New Jersey.
Growing up, were you inspired by any NFL Players?
Growing up I used to be inspired by Prime Time, Richard Sherman, and Tony Romo. Overall I’d say Prime Time inspired me the most because I’d watch his highlights and interviews all the time.
What songs do you listen to pregame, to get you hyped up?
Pregame I primarily listen to Jersey rappers like Torchh, Geedot, and Bundles fvg. I feel like Jersey’s music scene gets me in the right mood for a game.
What is your offseason training like?
My offseason training includes lifting 6 days a week, kicking 4 days a week, speed & agility work on Saturdays, and recovery on Sundays.
What is your favorite memory of your career?
I’d say my favorite memory would have to be when I started my first game against Livingston. That was also the moment I fell in love with football and decided to take this serious.
Who is the best player you have ever played with or played against in your career?
The best player I’ve ever played with would have to be Makhi Green or Jarvis Jones without a doubt.
How old were you when you started playing football?
I’ve played football for fun all my life but I decided to officially start my junior year.
What is your favorite food?
I’d say my favorite food would have to be the nutella bowl with no coconut flakes or bananas.
When did you realize you were talented at football?
I realized I was talented during preseason when I had to compete for the starting spot against a senior. I remember everybody would pull me aside and tell me I was way better and that my game speaks for itself.
If you could meet one sports hero, who would it be?
If I could meet one sports hero I think I’d have to go with Kobe Bryant because growing up, his will to work and win was something that attracted me and stuck with me. Kobe plays a huge role in my working habits and although he isn’t here, his mentality continues to inspire me more and more everyday.
What is your favorite sports moment, as a fan?
As a fan of sports, my favorite moment would have to be the Minneapolis Miracle in 2018, when Stefon Diggs caught the ball with 10 seconds left on the clock and scored a touchdown.
