Weatherspoon is ranked as a Top 15 Center in the nation and is ranked as a Top 35 recruit in the state of Michigan as well. In addition, Weatherspoon is listed as the #2 Center in the state of Michigan. Davion Weatherspoon is committed to play at Ohio next fall.

Growing up, were you inspired by any NFL Players?

Larry Allen inspired me. I liked the way he played the game, ever since I watched his highlights in 6th grade, I tried to block like him.

What high school is your biggest rival?

Honestly we do not have a rival team, but I will say River Rouge. Every year it is a battle between us.

What songs do you listen to pregame, to get you hyped up?

I like to listen to Tee Grizzly, Lil Baby, and a lot of Detroit rappers.

What is your offseason training like?

My offseason training is very intense, but this year I am trying to get ready for Ohio, and I am working on getting stronger and faster.

What is your favorite memory of your high school career?

My favorite memory of my high school career is probably senior night. It is a special memory for me because you are only a senior once and it is the one time you get to recognize your parents/family for all they did for you.

What parts of your high school game, do you hope to transition to the college level?

I hope to transition the way I am able to drive people down the field and finish my blocks.

What made Ohio stand out from other schools?

It was the coaching staff for me. The coaches at Ohio U do not only care about football, but they care about your family too, and when a school can accept you and your family, it is the place for you.

What do you want to accomplish on and off the field during your time at Ohio?

Off the field I would like to be a great student in the classroom. Then I want to prepare myself mentally for football. On the field I am going to come in and work my butt off so I can contribute to the team in practices and on gamedays.

If you could meet one sports hero, who would it be?

I would want to meet Michael Vick.
