Jayden Ramsey is a 3 Star recruit who plays Offensive Tackle at Westside High School. Ramsey is ranked as a Top 140 Offensive Tackle in the nation and is ranked as a Top 25 recruit in the state of South Carolina. In addition, Ramsey is listed as the #2 Offensive Tackle in the state of South Carolina. Jayden Ramsey is committed to play at Appalachian State next fall.

Growing up, were you inspired by any NFL Players?

I’ve always been inspired by Gronk because playing the same position growing up and he was always just bigger than everyone else.

What high school is your biggest rival?

T.L Hanna is our biggest rival the games are always packed out.

What songs do you listen to pregame, to get you hyped up?

Lil Baby is for sure my most listened to pregame artist.

What is your offseason training like?

Off season I’m working out twice a day and eating proper meals.

What is your favorite memory of your high school career?

My favorite memory was being put on varsity as a freshman, it was so surreal and exciting.

What parts of your high school game, do you hope to transition to the college level?

I want me speed and athletic ability to transfer to the next level so I can be versatile.

What made Appalachian State stand out from other schools?

App built built a strong connection really fast and it is a great football and academic environment.

What do you want to accomplish on and off the field during your time at App State?

I want to be a starter and try and fulfill my dreams of playing in the NFL.

If you could meet one sports hero, who would it be?

Lebron James, he has a great work ethic and I feel that he would be one of the coolest people ever to meet..

What is your favorite sports moment, as a fan?

My favorite moment as a sports fan would have to be Clemson winning back to back championships for the past couple of years.
