One Of The Top 2023 Quarterbacks In South Carolina: Grayson Loftis
Grayson Loftis is a Pro Style Quarterback at Blue Ridge High School. Loftis is ranked as the 12th best Pro Style Quarterback in the class of 2023 and is ranked as a Top 20 overall Quarterback in the class as well. He currently has offers to Georgia and Charlotte.
What high school is your biggest rival?
If I have to say one I would say Travelers Rest High School we try and treat every game the same mentally but if I had to say one I would say them.
What songs do you listen to pregame, to get you hyped up?
I don’t have a specific playlist if varies each week. Most of the tips it ends up on slower rap songs and a little bit of country.
What is your offseason training like?
My offseason schedule is a lot of working with my training and being in the weight room I lift 5 days a week and I watch a lot of film review from the previous season.
What is your favorite memory of your high school career, so far?
So far my favorite high school memory is our teams first win my freshman year. We had played this team the year before and lost by a large margin and we took it personal and it felt great being apart of a team that came out of the gate strong and had a lot of fun.
Who is the best player you have ever played with or played against in your high school career?
The best player I have ever played against is Jalen Tate who played DB at Greenville and he was a great player we always knew where he was and he was definitely a great player.
What do you look for in choosing a college?
In choosing a college I look first for a great academic program. Second I look at the culture of the team and how the coachs and players interact while and what there dynamic is. And last does it feel like home I want a school that I feel comfortable and at home and that’s when I know the schools right for me.
When did you start looking at colleges, and when did colleges start looking at you?
I started looking at colleges summer going into 8th grade. That’s when I first started doing college camps and I would say that’s when colleges started looking at me.
If you could meet one sports hero, who would it be?
I would meet Tom Brady because of his mentality. He is one of the hardest working people in sports and the best to ever play the game.
What is your favorite sports moment, as a fan?
My favorite sports moment as a fan is when Clemson beat Alabama for the first time in the national championship game. Growing up a Clemson fan and being apart of that as a fan was really cool especially the way they won it.
