One Of The Top 10 Tight Ends In Florida: Daniel Pilgrim

Daniel Pilgrim is a 3 Star recruit who plays Tight End at North Fort Myers High School. Pilgrim is ranked as a Top 70 Tight End in the nation and is a Top 10 Tight End in the state of Florida. Daniel Pilgrim is committed to play at Florida International next fall.

Growing up, were you inspired by any NFL Players?

 I’ve always loved the Panthers so I would say Steve Smith, Cam Newton, DJ Moore, and Jonnu Smith who is on the Titans.

What high school is your biggest rival?

I would say Fort Myers

What songs do you listen to pregame, to get you hyped up?

 I like to listen to songs by 42 Dugg, NLE Choppa, Lil Baby, Kodak Black, and Glokknine.

What is your offseason training like?

 For offseason workouts we have been lifting and doing some field workouts. Next week we finally get to start with helmets.

What is your favorite memory of your high school career?

 My favorite memory is when I took back a kick return against Fort Myers, it was my first time being a returner.

What parts of your high school game, do you hope to transition to the college level?

 I want to become a weapon at TE and make plays after the catch.

What made FIU stand out from other schools?

I’ve had some great conversations with Coach Davis. FIU made me feel the most at home. I also get to be close to friends and family. Plus I’ve always been a Panthers fan.

What do you want to accomplish on and off the field during your time at FIU?

On the field I want to be a playmaker and help FIU win games. Off the field I want to be a hard working student and major in Real Estate.

If you could meet one sports hero, who would it be?

 If I could meet one sports hero it would be Cam Newton.

What is your favorite sports moment, as a fan?

My favorite sports moment as a fan was the Panthers season in 2015..
