One Of The Greatest Linebackers In Hopewell Valley History: Terrance Peterson Jr

Terrance Peterson Jr is a 2021 recruit who played Linebacker at Hopewell Valley Central High School. Peterson is among one of the Top recruits in Mercer County and is among one of the Top Linebackers in the county as well. In addition, Peterson holds numerous defensive school records, and will no doubt go down in history as one of the Bulldogs greatest players of all time. Terrance Peterson is committed to play at Shippensburg this fall.

Growing up, were you inspired by any NFL Players?

Growing up I was inspired by Kurt Warner for his perseverance and dedication to the game, and Aaron Donald due to him being double and triple teamed and still making plays.

What high school is your biggest rival?

 I’d say our biggest rivalry would be against Notre Dame High School, they always have good players there and the kids that play there I’ve known for a while so it’s always fun.

What songs do you listen to pregame, to get you hyped up?

I like to listen to some rap, but I also listen to a lot of jazz, Motown, and soul music as well. Gary Moore is one of my favorites.

What is your offseason training like?

My offseason training is mostly all about strength and gaining weight to fill out my frame.

What is your favorite memory of your high school career?

My favorite memory has to be blocking the punt against Nottingham to set us up to score and beat them for the first time in school history.

Who is the best player you have ever played with or played against in your career?

The best player I’ve played with would probably be Henry Lewis because of his dedication to the game.

What is your favorite food?

My favorite food is hands down Lasagna

When did you realize you were talented at football?

I realized I had a knack for football when I would take hand offs from the other team in youth football.

If you could meet one sports hero, who would it be?

If I could meet one sports hero, it would have to be Aaron Donald.

What is your favorite sports moment, as a fan?

My favorite sports moment as a fan is watching Notre Dame play Hopewell my 8th grade year, and getting excited to play against friends and with some too.
