Tyren Mason is a 3 Star recruit who plays Wide Receiver at Elkhart Memorial High School. Mason is ranked as a Top 250 Wide Receiver in the nation and is a Top 25 recruit in the state of Indiana. In addition, Mason is also listed as the #2 Wide Receiver in the state of Indiana. Tyren Mason is committed to play at Western Michigan next fall.
Growing up, were you inspired by any NFL Players?
I’d say I was inspired by OBJ and the way he bring his own style to the game how he was never scarred to be different.
What high school is your biggest rival?
Our biggest rival is Penn High School
What songs do you listen to pregame, to get you hyped up?
It would be a long list of j was specific but mainly Lil top by young boy and I get spiritual and listen to “take me to the king “ by Tamela Mann.
What is your offseason training like?
Hectic, I travel to Indy to train often and workout twice a day and I trained in Vegas also just to workout in the heat.
What is your favorite memory of your high school career?
My first varsity TD against Central
What parts of your high school game, do you hope to transition to the college level?
Speed , right now I’m a 4.4 on a good day and 4.5 maybe 4.6 on normal but I wanna get that all star speed and my route running.
What made Western Michigan stand out from other schools?
They treat me like family and the offense they run will help me evolve because they do air it out a lot and have the staff to elevate my game.
What do you want to accomplish on and off the field during your time at Western Michigan?
I just wanna be a better player and person, I’m gonna come in and do what I have to do to get me right and give me my shot at going to the NFL.
If you could meet one sports hero, who would it be?
Lebron James for sure

Watching LeBron bring a championship to Cleveland in 2016
