Jaylin Stewart is a Sophomore Shooting Guard at Garfield High School. Stewart is ranked as a 3 Star recruit in the class of 2023. According to Verbal Commits, he currently has an offer to Washington.
Growing up, were you inspired by any NBA Players?
Growing up I was always a Lebron a fan and still am, I just like the way he plays the game and goes all out every game.
What high school is your biggest rival?
I mean, Rainier Beach is usually are rival but I would say are biggest rival now is O’Dea just because last year they beat us by 20 and we returned the favor in the state championship.
What songs do you listen to pregame, to get you hyped up?
Pregame I’m usually listening to Lil Baby or like NBA Youngboy those are the only two.
What is your offseason training like?
I mean obviously off season training was tough this year but I got a lot of connections with people that helps me get into gyms and get some shots up here and there.
What is your favorite memory of your high school career, so far?
Well I’ve only played one year of high school basketball so far so I would say the state championship when I got the alley oop dunk off the back board late in the game to kind of finalize the game.
Who is the best player you have ever played with or played against in your high school career?
Best players I’ve played with and against are for sure Tari Eason and Paolo Banchero.
What do you look for in choosing a college?
I just wanna feel like I’m at home and part of a family, and I don’t wanna feel like I’m restricted I wanna have the green light to play my game.
When did you start looking at colleges, and when did colleges start looking at you?
I have never really looked at colleges i just let them come to me but I got my first D1 offer before my freshman season started so like the beginning of freshman year.
If you could meet one sports hero, who would it be?
If I could meet one sports hero it would be Kobe, he inspired me a lot to keep pushing and work to get better no matter what.
What is your favorite sports moment, as a fan?
My favorite sports moment was definitely when Lebron came back 3-1, first time I really witnessed someone that was unstoppable on both ends of the floor.
