Brown is ranked as a Top 25 Dual Threat QB in the class of 2022 and is ranked as a Top 90 recruit in the state of California. In addition, Brown is listed as the #11 Quarterback in the state of California as well as the #2 Dual Threat QB in the state According to 247 Sports, he currently has an offer to Old Dominion.
Growing up, were you inspired by any NFL Players?
Growing up I was inspired by drew brees. He has always been an inspiration to me, I don’t know why but something just gravitated me towards him when I was a kid. He’s the reason I wear 9 and the reason I play quarterback.
What high school is your biggest rival?
Mater Dei’s biggest rival is St. John Bosco from Bellflower.
What songs do you listen to pregame, to get you hyped up?
Truthfully it depends on the week. I could listen to some melo Reggae to calm me down or I’d listen to NBA Youngboy or Meek Mill to get my hyped up. Just depends how I’m feeling that day/ week.
What is your offseason training like?
Training in the off-season is about 5-6 times a week. Workout 5-6 times and try to throw 2-4 times a week. With Sunday usually being a recovery day to heal and get ready for the next week ahead.
What is your favorite memory of your high school career, so far?
My favorite memory so far of my high school career was probably my first touchdown pass last season. Always dreamed of that first touchdown in a varsity game and it was special. I changed out of the original play to throw to our wr in the back of the end zone.
Who is the best player you have ever played with or played against in your high school career?
The best player that I have ever played with is probably raleek brown. He is so explosive and dynamic. He can turn nothing into something and it happens in a split second.
What do you look for in choosing a college?
Truthfully I don’t know. I have in mind a couple of things I want but I’m not certain on aspects I do or don’t want. I still need to talk to my family and narrow down what I really want to achieve in college and what I want out of the school.
When did you start looking at colleges, and when did colleges start looking at you?
I started to look at colleges my 9th grade year. I knew I have 4 years to figure out my next chapter and I had to take advantage of it. Colleges started looking at me the beginning of my sophomore season and really started Looking after it. It’s been a fun process but a wild one with Covid and everything.
If you could meet one sports hero, who would it be?
I would love to meet Russell Wilson. While Drew Brees is my favorite quarterback, I just love Russell Wilson’s play and I see a lot of it translate into my game. I love his mentality he has and the grind he puts into his craft. I would love to speak to him.
What is your favorite sports moment, as a fan?
My favorite sports moment as a fan was when I went to Arizona to watch my Saints play the Cardinals and after the game a running back on the Saints gave me their gloves. I think it’s so cool and it’s still a memory I revisit all the time.
