Nick Jourdain Temple Power Forward

Nick Jourdain is a 3 Star recruit who plays Power Forward at Covenant High School. Jourdain is ranked Top 80 at his position and is a Top 10 recruit in the state of New Jersey. In addition, Jourdain is a top Power Forward in the state as well. Nick is committed to play at Temple this fall.

Growing up, were you inspired by any NBA Players?

Carmelo Anthony, growing up I was always a knicks fan but I never really watched until the season he won the scoring title and he was just a bucket. He was the first player I really watched and idolized.

What high school is your biggest rival?

In high school our biggest rival was definitely Newark Eastside.

What songs do you listen to pregame, to get you hyped up?

Last time I played I definitely was bumping lil uzi before the game so I’ll say that.

What is your offseason training like?

 Getting into gyms whenever I can to workout or open runs.

What is your favorite memory of your high school career?

My favorite memory of my high school career was definitely beating Newark Eastside for the first time so many teams before us lost to them and it just felt good to finally beat them especially at home.

What parts of your high school game, do you hope to transition to the college level?

Things I would like to transition in my game into college would have to be my versatility, defense and always playing hard.

What made Temple stand out from other schools?

Just had a good feeling about them from the jump. Talking to the coaches and knowing it was a good school too. Just went with my gut feeling.

What do you want to accomplish on and off the court during your time at Temple?

 I wanna win everything conference and NCAA tournament. Make all conference and all freshman. Off the court i just wanna graduate and push myself to be the best student athlete possible. A got a lot of goals I’m reaching for though those were just some of them.

If you could meet one sports hero, who would it be?

Kobe Bryant
