Olympia’s Star Tight End: Tyler Cross

Tyler Cross is a 2024 recruit who plays Tight End at Olympia High School. Cross is ranked among one of the top recruits in the class of 2024 and is ranked among one of the top Tight Ends in the class as well. In addition, Cross is listed among one of the top recruits in the state of Florida and is listed among one of the top Tight Ends in the state of Florida. He holds offers from schools such as Liberty, Marshall, and UConn.

Who are some role models in your life?

My grandpa, uncle, and dad are my role models.

What artists do you listen to pregame, to get you hyped up?

I listen to Luh Tyler, RSG Plug, and Hotboi pregame.

What is your favorite memory of your career?

My favorite memory of my career was when our field goal got blocked, and I scooped it up for 6 which led us to win the game.

Who is the best player you have ever played with or played against in your career?

The best player I have played against so far is Sincere Edwards.

What is some advice you would give to an aspiring D1 athlete?

For an aspiring D1 athlete, there is more to just putting in work on the field. You have to make sure you straight in the classroom before anything. Also another thing I was taught about this process. Don’t believe everything you see on social media. You do what you gotta do and there are some things that are out of your control. The only thing in your control is the classroom and the work you put in.

How old were you when you fell in love with the game?

I was around 8 years old when I first fell in love with the game.

If you could meet one sports hero, who would it be?

If I could meet any sports hero, it would be Rob Gronkowski for sure.

What is your favorite sports moment, as a fan?

My favorite sports memory as a fan was when I saw Lamar Jackson getting humbled by the LSU defense all day in the bowl game a while back.
