Demar Dotson Jr is a 2027 recruit who plays Offensive Tackle at Oak Grove High School. Who are some role models in your life?
The #1 role model in my life is my mother. Seeing her make sacrifices to give me what I needed and wanted in life motivates me to work harder so I can give her what she deserves. Another role model is my father—him playing 12 years in the league does nothing but inspire me to do the same.

What artists do you listen to pregame, to get you hyped up?
I don’t listen to the typical hype music. I tend to go for more calming music like Rod Wave or Jhené Aiko. But once it’s time to walk out, I turn it up a little with someone like NBA YoungBoy to get me hyped.

What are the strengths of your game?
The strengths of my game are in my pass protection. I succeed especially well in the passing game, thanks to my long arms. I feel like I can block anyone from a 5-tech to a 9-tech.

What is your favorite memory of your career?
My favorite memory of my career is watching my team go out and win the state championship.

Who is the best player you have ever played with or played against in your career?
The best player I’ve ever played against is actually my own teammate from last year—Drew Maddox, a 4-star who’s currently at Ole Miss.

What is some advice you would give to an aspiring D1 athlete?
Some advice I’d give to an aspiring D1 athlete is to stay down and stay hungry. Don’t get discouraged when you see others getting a lot of media attention. Everyone has their own path.

If you could travel anywhere in the world, where would it be?
If I could travel anywhere, I would love to visit Hawaii. I want to see the islands and the ocean—it looks beautiful online, and I’d love to experience it in person.

How old were you when you fell in love with the game?
I fell in love with the game as soon as I came out of the womb. Like I said earlier, my dad played in the league since I was born, so being around football 24/7 made me love it naturally.

If you could meet one sports hero, who would it be?
LeBron James. I absolutely love LeBron and would love to meet him at least once.

What is your favorite sports moment, as a fan?
When the Bucs won the Super Bowl with Tom Brady. I’m a die-hard Buccaneers fan.
