Notre Dame’s Star Shortstop: Dylan Palmer

Dylan Palmer is a 2022 recruit who plays Shortstop at Notre Dame High School. Palmer is ranked among one of the top recruits in the nation and is ranked among one of the top Shortstops in the nation as well. In addition, Palmer is listed among one of the top recruits in the state of New Jersey and is listed among one of the top Shortstops in the state of New Jersey. Dylan Palmer is committed to play at Hofstra this fall.

Growing up, were you inspired by any MLB Players?

Ichiro Suzuki, Rickey Henderson, and Bo Jackson

What songs do you listen to pregame, to get you hyped up?

Rap, country, and throwbacks

What is your offseason training like?

Train 5 days a week with focus on strength and speed, as well as eating a lot

What is your favorite memory of your career?

Starting off the high school season 15-0

Who is the best player you have ever played with or played against in your career?

Cole Mascolo- (Elon signee) the kid can flat out hit, and he is a great teammate

What made Hofstra stand out from other schools?

I loved the campus and the academics along with the coaches, and their plan with the program to turn it around. I loved the team and saw myself playing there.

What is your favorite food?

Franks and burgers

When did you realize you were talented at baseball?

I knew I was always pretty good but I didn’t have the confidence in myself until sophomore summer-junior year. That is when I really realized I could play at a high level.

If you could meet one sports hero, who would it be?

Sauce Gardner

What is your favorite sports moment, as a fan?

Going to the College World Series a couple years ago
