Naran Buntin is a 3 Star recruit who plays Wide Receiver at Mater Dei High School. Buntin is ranked as a Top 260 Wide Receiver in the nation and is a Top 50 recruit in the state of New Jersey. In addition, Buntin is ranked as a Top 3 Wide Receiver in the state of New Jersey. Naran Buntin is committed to play at Kent State next fall.
Growing up, were you inspired by any NFL Players?
I looked up to Ochocinco and Megatron I just loved the way they played.
What high school is your biggest rival?
We don’t have a rival but it slowly might become one with RBC.
What songs do you listen to pregame, to get you hyped up?
Listen to a lot of Polo G
What is your offseason training like?
I would set up a mini camp for people in my area that wanted to train with me and I’ve had two great trainers this year working on speed and strength.
What is your favorite memory of your high school career?
Changing school and getting to meet new people that became a family to me.
What parts of your high school game, do you hope to transition to the college level?
I am coachable so that’ll transition over nicely.
What made Kent State stand out from other schools?
It was the love from all the coaching staff and the other recruits that already committed. They welcomed me with a lot of love and they are on the rise of becoming something great and I want to be apart of that.
What do you want to accomplish on and off the field during your time at Kent State?
I wanna become the best player I can and win a championship and off the field I want to get an education and start an organization devoted for sickle cell because my sister struggles with it.
If you could meet one sports hero, who would it be?
Kobe to learn his mentality.
What is your favorite sports moment, as a fan?
Seeing my Seahawks win the Super Bowl
