Mill Creek’s Star Defensive Lineman: Devin Ancrum

Devin Ancrum is a 3 Star recruit who plays Defensive Tackle at Mill Creek High School. Ancrum is ranked as the 913th best recruit in the nation and is ranked as a top 95 Defensive Tackle in the nation as well. In addition, Ancrum is listed among one of the top recruits in the state of Georgia and is listed as a top 10 Defensive Tackle in the state of Georgia. He is committed to play at UNC.

Who are some role models in your life?

My dad is my role model.

What artists do you listen to pregame, to get you hyped up?

I tend to listen to Kodak Black and Baby Kia.

What are the strengths of your game?

The strengths of my game are my quick first step and my power.

What is your favorite memory of your career?

My favorite memory so far is my school winning their first ever championship back in 2022 against Carrollton.

Who is the best player you have ever played with or played against in your career?

So far the best player I’ve played against is Travis Hunter.

What is some advice you would give to an aspiring D1 athlete?

Never be satisfied, you should always strive for greatness.

How old were you when you fell in love with the game?

I was 10 years old when I fell in love with the game.

If you could meet one sports hero, who would it be?

It would be Christian Wilkins.
