Kennie Leggett is a 3 Star recruit who plays Running Back at Mater Dei High School. My biggest role models are my mom and dad. They’ve always been hardworking and have pushed me to go beyond what I thought I was capable of.

Before games, I lock in by listening to Eok Jaaybo.
What are the strengths of your game?
I’d say my biggest strengths are my balance and my all-around ability on the field. I take pride in staying grounded and making plays consistently.
What is your favorite memory of your career?
Scoring my first touchdown is a moment I’ll never forget. It was a mix of adrenaline, joy, and confirmation that I belonged.
Who is the best player you have ever played with or against in your career?
Mark Bowman, a tight end from the class of 2026 at Mater Dei. He’s a standout player and made everyone around him better.
What is some advice you would give to an aspiring D1 athlete?
Stars don’t define your future. Keep your head down, stay focused, and work hard. Look up only once you’ve crossed the finish line.
If you could travel anywhere in the world, where would it be?
I’d travel to Miami, Florida—great energy, culture, and football vibes.
How old were you when you fell in love with the game?
I fell in love with football at just 4 years old. It’s been my passion ever since.
