Long Beach Poly’s Star Defensive End: Dominic Lolesio

Dominic Lolesio is a 3 Star recruit who plays Defensive End at Long Beach Poly High School. Lolesio is ranked among the top 1300 recruits in the nation and is ranked among the top 100 Defensive Ends in the nation as well. In addition, Lolesio is listed among the top 150 recruits in the state of California and is listed as the #5 Defensive End in the state of California. Dominic Lolesio is committed to play at Arizona next fall.

Growing up, were you inspired by any NFL Players?

Growing up, I looked up to Ray Lewis because of his mentality, unique playing style, and trash talk.

What songs do you listen to pregame, to get you hyped up?

Get Money by EST GEE, Rumors by Lil Durk, and Legendary by RIODAYUNGOG.

What is your offseason training like?

My offseason training consists of weight lifting, speed training, and film study.

What is your favorite memory of your career?

My favorite memory of my football career would have to be winning The 2021 CIF championship with Poly.

Who is the best player you have ever played with or played against in your career?

The best player I have ever gone against and got to go against in practice would have to be Tyson Ruffins. He is a monster and one of the top linemen in the 2023 class. Going against him has helped me become a better player.

What was your reaction to getting your first offer?

My reaction to getting my first offer had me speechless. I was in shock because of how my dreams of playing football at a college level were coming true.

What is your favorite food?

My favorite food is Shrimp Alfredo with garlic bread.

When did you realize you were talented at football?

I started to realize I was talented at football honestly at a later age in my life so around 15-16, especially coming to Poly.

If you could meet one sports hero, who would it be?

Travis Kelce, the best Tight End in the league

What is your favorite sports moment, as a fan?

I am a Kansas City Chiefs fan, so my favorite sports moment would have to be when we won the Super Bowl against the 49ers back in 2020 for sure.
