Monte Keener is a 3 Star recruit who plays Tight End at Linden High School. Keener is ranked among one of the top recruits in the class of 2024 and is ranked as a top 65 Tight End in the class as well. In addition, Keener is listed as a top 35 recruit in the state of Michigan and is listed as the #4 Tight End in the state of Michigan. He holds offers from schools such as Indiana, Rutgers, and Army.

My dad is my role model.

What artists do you listen to pregame, to get you hyped up?

Meek Mill gets me pretty hype.

What are the strengths of your game?

I’m talented at run blocking and I’m constantly able to make myself a big easy target for my quarterback.

What is your favorite memory of your career?

My favorite memory is beating our rivals in the playoffs.

Who is the best player you have ever played with or played against in your career?

I’ve played with Bryce Eliuk and against Jacob Booth.

What is some advice you would give to an aspiring D1 athlete?

Some advice I’d give is to work hard and be prepared to talk to coaches.

If you could travel anywhere in the world, where would it be?

If I could travel anywhere it would be to somewhere tropical.

How old were you when you fell in love with the game?

I’ve loved football since I was about 9.

If you could meet one sports hero, who would it be?

I would want to meet Calvin Johnson.

What is your favorite sports moment, as a fan?

My favorite sports moment was the Michigan State, “trouble with the snap”.
