Alex Abbott is a 2024 recruit who plays Punter at Lake Creek High School. Abbott is ranked among one of the top recruits in the class of 2024 and is ranked as a top 45 Punter in the class as well. In addition, Abbott is listed among one of the top recruits in the state of Texas and is listed as a top 10 Punter in the state of Texas.

Who are some role models in your life?

My dad is for sure a role model in my life.

What artists do you listen to pregame, to get you hyped up?

I listen to Drake before every game to get hyped up.

What are the strengths of your game?

My biggest strength is my accuracy.

What is your favorite memory of your career?

The best moment of my high school career was definitely hitting a walk off game winning field goal against Fort Bend Marshall my freshman year.

Who is the best player you have ever played with or played against in your career?

The best player I’ve played with is my current teammate Ta Ta Byars.

What is some advice you would give to an aspiring D1 athlete?

Some advice I would give is to take every rep in practice the same u would in a game.

If you could travel anywhere in the world, where would it be?

I would really love to travel to Dubai.

How old were you when you fell in love with the game?

I really fell in love with the game after my 8th grade year.

If you could meet one sports hero, who would it be?

I would love to meet Michael Jordan or Messi.

What is your favorite sports moment, as a fan?

My favorite moment as a fan was rushing the field after A&M beat Alabama on the game winning field goal.
