Jack Olsen-Michigan State Kicker

Jack Olsen, was born in Wheaton, Illinois, and played Kicker for Wheaton Warrenville South High School. Olsen is ranked as the 4th best Kicker in the nation, and the best Kicker in the state of Illinois. He has committed to play at Michigan State this fall.

Growing up, were you inspired by any NFL Players?

I was not, but always enjoyed watching the Kickers.

What high school is your biggest rival?

Wheaton North

What songs do you listen to pregame, to get you hyped up?

I do not listen to music before, I usually just talk with my teammates.

What is your offseason training like?

Lift for an hour, speed/explosion do an hour and then kick every other day.

What is your favorite memory of your high school career?

Kicking 8 field goals in the opening game of my junior season.

What parts of your high school game, do you hope you can transition to the college level?

Making important kicks

What made Michigan State stand out from other schools?

I have always dreamed of playing in the BIG 10, and it is pretty close to my house and it has a winning tradition.

What do you want to accomplish on and off the field during your time at Michigan State?

On the field I hope to play as soon as possible and make all important kicks and win a BIG 10 Championship. Off the field I hope to finish high academically with a major in something from business school.

If you could meet one sports hero, who would it be?

Michael Jordan

What is your favorite sports moment, as a fan?

Michigan State punt block against Michigan for a TD and the win.
