Mitch Jeter was born in, Concord, North Carolina and was the Kicker for The Cannon School. Mitch is ranked as a Top 10 Kicker in the nation, and is ranked as a Top 5 Kicker in the state of North Carolina. He is committed to play at South Carolina this fall.

Growing up, were you inspired by any NFL Players?
Growing up, I always had a dream of playing in the NFL and I still have that dream. I do not think I really looked up to any specific player but just the whole environment and atmosphere of the NFL, made me want to work to get there.
What high school is your biggest rival?
My biggest rival is Charlotte Latin School.
What songs do you listen to pregame, to get you hyped up?
I listen to rap music usually in pregame. My favorite artists to listen to are Meek Mill and Drake.
What is your offseason training like?
My offseason training consists of me getting after it in the weight room with leg days and arm days as well as total body days. I also work on my kicking and running.
What is your favorite memory of you high school career?
My favorite memory is probably hitting a 57 yard field goal in game this past October.
What parts of your high school game, do you hope to transition to the college level?
I feel like my kicking on kickoffs will not change in college but the only thing that will be an adjustment is, college football is much faster than high school.
What made South Carolina stand out from other schools?
The facilities at South Carolina are unlike any other and the coaching staff made me feel wanted there. I felt like I stood out.
What do you want to accomplish on and off the field during your time at South Carolina?
I want to get my degree in Biology at South Carolina and I would love to make the NFL. Some goals there, are to be an all time point scorer and have my percentages on Field Goals and Touchbacks very high.
If you could meet one sports hero, who would it be?
I would probably want to meet Christian McCaffrey.
What is your favorite sports moment, as a fan?
My favorite sports moment, as a fan is probably any type of game winning Field Goal. I love being put in that situation and that environment.
