Junipero Serra’s Star Safety: Tre Harrison

Tre Harrison is a 3 Star recruit who plays Safety at Junipero Serra High School. Harrison is ranked as the 993rd best recruit in the nation and is ranked as a top 85 Safety in the nation as well. In addition, Harrison is listed as a top 75 recruit in the state of California and is listed as the #4 Safety in the state of California. He holds offers from schools such as Notre Dame, Washington State and Cal.

Who are some role models in your life?

Of course my parents, they’ve always inspired me to work as hard as them if not harder to reach the success and goals I want to achieve. Also all of my coaches as well. They’re all great knowledgeable people who can teach me about the game as well as teach me how to be a good man in society.

What are the strengths of your game?

I would say my strengths are my effort, my reflexes, and my tackling ability. There’s probably others but those are the first that came to mind.

What is your favorite memory of your career?

My favorite memory of my career would probably be when I had a pick six in the state game my freshman year.

Who is the best player you have ever played with or played against in your career?

The best player I ever played with hands down would have to be Maalik Murphy. The guy can play for real and win in any situation.

What is some advice you would give to an aspiring D1 athlete?

If there is a goal that pops in mind stick with it and trust your intuition because your intuition will never lie. From there just keep working for real. There’s going to be bumps/bad days along the way but it only makes you 10x stronger in the end. Also surround yourself with people trying to do something positive in their life and/or people that’s smarter and/or better than you.

If you could travel anywhere in the world, where would it be?

I would probably travel to China.

How old were you when you fell in love with the game?

I fell in love with the game early on though I didn’t play consistently my whole life. My father was a coach before I was born and I was around the sport ever since. The game was instilled in me for a while.

If you could meet one sports hero, who would it be?

If I could meet any sports hero it would have to be LeBron James or maybe Bo Jackson . 

What is your favorite sports moment, as a fan?

My favorite moment as a fan was probably going to the NFL honors in Los Angeles.
