ISA’s Star Small Forward: Johnny Pierce

Johnny Pierce is a 2024 recruit who plays Small Forward at ISA. Pierce is ranked among one of the top recruits in the class of 2024 and is ranked among one of the top Small Forwards in the class as well. In addition, Pierce is listed among one of the top recruits in the state of Connecticut and is listed among one of the top Small Forwards in the state of Connecticut. His top offers are Rutgers, Siena, and Fairfield.

Who are some role models in your life?

My role models are definitely the men in my life, my dad and my grandfather.

What artists do you listen to pregame, to get you hyped up?

A little different from most, I love Brent Fayiaz and Giveon. They really put me in a great mood right before a game.

What are the strengths of your game?

I’d say my biggest strengths are my ability to see the floor and my rebounding.

What is your favorite memory of your career?

My favorite memory is my sophomore year, when I won the NVL championship (league championship) and then my school closed down. Sad that it closed, but a great way to end.

Who is the best player you have ever played with or played against in your career?

The best player I’ve played with is Tyler Betsey, another Connecticut guy. He can shoot it and is very efficient with his game.

What is some advice you would give to an aspiring D1 athlete?

Some advice that I took from a former division 1 player is that my time will come. Seeing the offers from other players could either be discouraging or motivating, but the best thing to remember is everyone has their own path.

If you could travel anywhere in the world, where would it be?

I would 100% love to go to Jamaica.

How old were you when you fell in love with the game?

I fell in love with basketball when I was about 12.

If you could meet one sports hero, who would it be?

I would love to meet Magic Johnson. I’ve had a lot of player comparisons to him and would love to sit and talk.

What is your favorite sports moment, as a fan?

My favorite sports moment as a fan was when Kevin Durant got his MVP honors.
