Labas is ranked as the 641st best recruit in the class of 2021 and is ranked as a Top 20 Dual Threat Quarterback in the class of 2021 as well. In addition, Labas is listed as a Top 25 recruit in the state of Ohio and is listed as the #1 Quarterback in the state of Ohio. Joey Labas is committed to play at Iowa this fall.

Growing up, were you inspired by any NFL Players?

Growing up I loved my Browns, but I’ve always loved watching Aaron Rodgers.

What high school is your biggest rival?

My high school´s rival is North Royalton.

What songs do you listen to pregame, to get you hyped up?

It varies but I listen to rap, sometimes older rap like Dr. Dre but also newer stuff whatever I’m in the mood for.

What is your offseason training like?

I normally would be playing basketball and baseball in the off season but this year I didn’t play. So I’ve been lifting 4 times a week, throwing every week and speed/ agility as well.

What is your favorite memory of your high school career?

A lot of them, but probably my freshman year throwing 2 TD’s right away in our first game is something I’ll never forget.

Who is the best player you have ever played with or played against in your career?

Beat player I’ve played with would probably be Mike Rose.

What is your favorite food?

Favorite food would be Japanese/Asian food.

When did you realize you were talented at football?

Youth football

Tom Brady
