Greenbrier’s Star Wide Receiver: Carter McElhany

Carter McElhany is a 2023 recruit who plays Wide Receiver at Greenbrier High School. McElhany is ranked among one of the top recruits in the nation and is ranked among one of the top Wide Receivers in the nation as well. In addition, McElhany is listed among one of the top recruits in the state of Arkansas and is listed among one of the top Wide Receivers in the state of Arkansas. He currently holds offers from Army and Air Force.

Growing up, were you inspired by any NFL Players?

Growing up, Tavon Austin inspired me. Being a smaller fast guy, I could kind of relate to that.

What songs do you listen to pregame, to get you hyped up?

Rookie of The Year and Dreams and Nightmares are always my go to pregame songs.

What is your offseason training like?

5 days a week, Monday-Friday, and rest days on the weekends with recovery

What is your favorite memory of your career?

Going undefeated and winning a conference championship

Who is the best player you have ever played with or played against in your career?

The best player I’ve played against is Nico Davillier.

What was your reaction to getting your first offer?

A lot of excitement, mixed with other emotions

If you could meet one sports hero, who would it be?

If I could meet one sports hero, I think it would be Russell Wilson. He’s a great person and a christian.

What is your favorite sports moment, as a fan?

I think my favorite sports moment as a fan would probably be when Auburn returned the field goal for a touchdown against Alabama.
