Who are some role models in your life?
Some role models in my life are my parents and my siblings, especially my older brother. I look up to all of them in different ways, but I look up to my older brother Shawn a lot because he models the person I want to be and he’s my biggest supporter.
What artists do you listen to pregame, to get you hyped up?
Some artists I listen to pregame to get hyped are Meek Mill, Drake, Imogen Heap, and Foo Fighters.
What are the strengths of your game?
I would say some of the strengths of my game are my versatility, my change of direction, my ability to react, and I’m also a very sure tackler.
What is your favorite memory of your career?
My favorite career memory is catching a pick versus White County last year.
Who is the best player you have ever played with or played against in your career?
The best player I’ve played with in my football career is a tie between Gianlucca Tiberia at Lafayette College and Xavier Daisy at UAB.
What is some advice you would give to an aspiring D1 athlete?
Some advice I would give to any aspiring D1 athlete is to train your mind and everything else will follow. You have to increase your discipline, break your comfortability, and I’m really still working on that a lot. You’re not getting better if you feel comfortable—you have to challenge yourself.
If you could travel anywhere in the world, where would it be?
A place I really want to travel to is Brazil. The vibrant culture and the soccer have been appealing to me since I was super young.
How old were you when you fell in love with the game?
I fell in love with the game kind of late, actually. I was a basketball player and soccer player for a while, then I started playing football and fell in love with it at 14.
If you could meet one sports hero, who would it be?
If I could meet one of my sports heroes, it would probably be Ray Lewis. There’s just so much to learn from him, especially mentally.
What is your favorite sports moment, as a fan?
My favorite sports moment as a fan is honestly the Bucks vs Nets in the playoffs when Kevin Durant hit that game-tying shot.
