Going All Out With Gabriel Rubio

Gabriel Rubio, was born in Saint Peters, Missouri, and plays Defensive Tackle at Lutheran Of St Charles County High School. Rubio is ranked 163rd in the ESPN 300 Class of 2021 and is ranked as a top 5 recruit in the state of Missouri. He has committed to play at Notre Dame next fall.

Growing up, were you inspired by any NFL Players?

Reggie White, John Randle, and Aaron Donald are some of my biggest inspirations.

What high school is your biggest rival?

Christain High School is the biggest one.

What songs do you listen to pregame, to get you hyped up?

We listen to rap and hard rock on Spotify before games to get into it.

What is your offseason training like?

I have been training everyday for months and just recently gone into twice a day workouts with my team and on my own.

What is your favorite memory of your high school career?

Running with my running back almost 80 yards ti get a Touchdown in one of our last games.

What parts of your high school game, do you want to transition to the college level?

The same brotherhood I had with my teammates.

What made Notre Dame stand out from other schools?

The academics, the family atmosphere, and the tremendous coaching staff.

What do you want to accomplish on and off the field during your time at Notre Dame?

I want to graduate first and foremsot but I want to be able to start my freshman year, but ultimately win a National Championship.

If you could meet one sports hero, who would it be?

Definitely Aaron Donald to just talk to him and see what he knows and learn technique.

What is your favorite sports moment, as a fan?

When I was at the Virginia Tech vs Notre Dame game and the Defensive Lineman almost scored twice by recovering fumbles.
