Friends Select´s Star Small Forward: Christian Kirkland

Christian Kirkland is a 2023 recruit who plays Small Forward at Friends Select School. Kirkland is ranked among one of the Top recruits in the class of 2023 and is ranked among one of the Top Small Forwards in the class as well. In addition, Kirkland is listed among one of the Top recruits in the state of Pennsylvania and is listed among one of the Top Small Forwards in the state of Pennsylvania. He currently holds offers from, Rider and Fairfield.

Growing up, were you inspired by any NBA Players?

Andre Iguodala when he played for the Sixers, is the reason why I like basketball today.

What high school is your biggest rival?

Honestly in the Friends League I look at every team as a rival but I think our biggest one is against Germantown Friends School.

What songs do you listen to pregame, to get you hyped up?

Any songs by Lil Baby or Yeat

What is your offseason training like?

During the offseason I usually wake up in the morning to go lift and later on in the afternoon I go to the gym to get shots up.

What is your favorite memory of your career?

My favorite moment of my career so far was winning the Made Hoops League 8 Championship.

Who is the best player you have ever played with or played against in your career?

The best player I’ve played with is Jalen Duren.

What is your favorite food?

My favorite food is Salmon.

When did you realize you were talented at basketball?

 I realized I was talented at basketball in the summer going into 8th grade.

If you could meet one sports hero, who would it be?

I would like to meet Andre Iguodala one day.

What is your favorite sports moment, as a fan?

My favorite sport moment as a fan was when the Philadelphia Eagles won the Super Bowl.
