Folsom’s Star Sophomore Wideout: Robert Larson

Robert Larson is a 3 Star recruit who plays Wide Receiver at Folsom High School. Larson is ranked among one of the top recruits in the class of 2027 and is ranked as a top 90 Wide Receiver in the class as well. In addition, Larson is listed among one of the top recruits in the state of California and is listed as a top 25 Wide Receiver in the state of California. He currently holds offers from Arizona State, UNLV and Sacramento State.

Who are some role models in your life?
Some role models in my life are my dad and my high school coaches and trainers. They’ve guided me on and off the field and helped shape the athlete I am today.

What artists do you listen to pregame to get hyped up?
Pregame, I like to listen to Drake, Bossman Dlow, and 21 Savage. Their energy gets me locked in and ready to go.

What are the strengths of your game?
Two of my biggest strengths are my hands and my ability to win tough 50/50 balls. I take pride in making the big catches in big moments.

What is your favorite memory of your career?
My favorite memory is my first varsity catch—a deep go ball down the sideline in my first varsity game. It set the tone for everything I wanted to accomplish.

Who is the best player you’ve ever played with or against?
One of the best players I’ve played with is my quarterback, Ryder Lyons—a five-star talent. The best I’ve played against is Jamar Sercearcy from Pitt High School. Both guys are elite.

What advice would you give to an aspiring D1 athlete?
Keep grinding and trust the process. You never know when your opportunity is coming, so stay ready and take full advantage when it does.

If you could travel anywhere in the world, where would it be?
Australia—for the weather, the scenery, and the unique experience. It’s a place I’ve always wanted to explore.

How old were you when you fell in love with the game?
I started playing football at 8, but I really fell in love with it at 13. That’s when the passion kicked in, and I knew this was what I wanted to chase.

If you could meet one sports hero, who would it be?
Rob Gronkowski. I’ve always looked up to him and studied his game—he’s the kind of player I’ve modeled a lot of my style after.

What is your favorite sports moment as a fan?
When the Patriots came back from that huge deficit against the Falcons in the Super Bowl.
